+Untitled+ by: Aubrey
We used to be young at heart,
running down the streets.
Only once did we part,
and our ends failed to meet.
We used to be just one,
in spirit and in soul.
Always having fun.
To the oak tree, we would go.
I carved your name into the wood
of that ancient tree.
I remember (as I should)
your eyes sparkled with glee.
Around your name, I drew a heart
and wrote my name as well.
You couldn't pierce it with a dart;
Love had us in its spell.
But then time passed, months into years,
and fantasy had faded.
At home, I cried such silent tears.
For reality, love was traded.
Hours passed, I couldn't stay still.
Logic had set me free.
I walked, then ran, up that hill
and saw you near our tree.
I stopped and, I admit, I cried
when I saw you there.
You were looking to the sky,
as if in great despair.
You turned to me, tears in your eyes,
blinked and looked back up.
We kissed and then, to my surprise,
you said your time was up.
We stood there, gazing at the stars,
just like we used to do.
That moment was truly ours.
I sensed you felt it too.
You placed my ear upon your chest,
like many times before,
and closed your eyes (as if to rest).
Your heart beat not once more.
Oh, the emotions I did then feel.
Anger, hurt, and sorrow.
Everything felt so surreal,
like there was no tomorrow.
I carried you back to the gate,
and drained my eyes of blue.
Nothing left to do but wait
for time to take me, too.

Sinner's~Fortune by: Aubrey
Your life of greed+lust+sin
will all end in your pleading;
one last cry to heaven
before your final leaving.
Celestial ones will hear you beg,
though they will not assist.
Angels can only watch you fall
into the great abyss.
One last psalm before you go
won't make up for your wrongs.
This is the point of no return;
your life shall not prolong.
"Forgive me, father, for I have sinned."

WASTED by: Aubrey
high school parties
smoke and beer.
loud music,
no sense of fear
pass the joint
bring it here
whats the point;
it's senior year!
fill your lungs
oxygen. smoke
bad for you?
must be a joke!
do it again.
another puff.
the room, it spins,
but not enough
upside down,
you're flying high.
who ever said
from this, you die?
the party stops
but doesn't end.
get in the car
and let rules bend.
look at the moon!
it follows you!!!
hey, where's the road?
looks like you're through.
oh wow, you're dead.
see all the blood?
your body's sprawled
out on the mud.
your corpse is found
as daylight breaks.
you can't be saved;
it's far too late.
a person:
for about an hour.
a stastic:
drugs and their power.
after time,
the story's old.
should have just
done what you're told

MASKED (haha. my "emo" poem) by: Aubrey
i hide behind this smile when my world falls apart;
just to mask the pain inside my slowly breaking heart.
i try not to break down.
i try to be strong.
no one has to see me frown
and know that something's wrong.
i hide behind this smile when my world falls apart...
you always see me laughing;
around you, i never cry.
but you don't know, sometimes
i want to close my eyes and die.
i hide behind this smile when my world falls apart...
some people call me beautiful.
confident. unique.
but who the hell're they trying to fool?
is there something i don't see?
'cause in the mirror, i see a girl.
a girl who isn't real.
a girl that's sometimes just so numb,
she can no longer feel.
i hide behind this smile when my world falls apart;
just to mask the pain inside my slowly breaking heart

Route 666 by: Aubrey
you shun me with your eyes
and whisper secret words.
you look back in despise,
not knowing how it hurts.
you push me off the brink.
i fall and take the kicks.
just because you think
i drive route 666.
you think that black nails mean
that i worship the devil.
you see me through a screen
ad just some reckless rebel.
you push me off the brink.
i fall and take the kicks.
just because you think
i drive route 666.
if you'd just open your mind
and clear your eyes out, too,
you might be shocked to find
that i bleed, just like you.

Death Clock by: Aubrey
that clock on the mantle ticks life away.
each second, each minute, and each passing day
bring me closer to my unclear future and death.
closer to the moment i take my last breath.
with each tick and each tock
and each click of that clock,
fades my life and draws darkness near.
that clock ticks and it clicks,
on the mantle it sits,
bringing forth the moment i fear

ETERNITY ("the boy") by: Aubrey
the boy stands alone.
moonlight illuminating his shadowed figure.
an angel in this darkness.
his intense eyes penetrate deep within you,
as if he can read your every thought.
you're drawn to this intriguing creature.
his black hair, wild, yet tame.
his ivory skin like an untouched lake.
you want him.
yu crave him.
this preternatural desire brings you toward him,
where he wraps you in his arms.
mixed in his world of leather and blackness,
you want to be in his strong arms forever.
his mistress for eternity.
the boy smiles a hypnotizing smile,
revealing glittering white fangs

Drummer Boy by: Aubrey
Falling. Falling. Falling Down.
Tears are falling down.
The drops cascade straight down her face
and absorb in her frown.
Falling. Falling. Falling Down.
Men are falling down.
Soldiers plummet, muskets loaded,
to the bloodied ground.
Going. Going. Going Gone.
Her son is going gone.
The music halts. The drummer falls.
The battle marches on.
Going. Going. Going Gone.
His life is going gone.
With one last breath, his body stills.
Up comes a brand new dawn

Tease by: Aubrey
You captured me with sinful kiss
and licked the poison from your lips,
but I was left, still wanting more.
Heart in hand, I would implore.
Wanting so bad for you to love,
for you to recognize me.
Request rejected from above,
you are my tragedy.
You captured me with poison kiss
and licked the sin from cherry lips,
but I was left, still wanting more,
chained and broken on the floor.
