This is the Poetry Corner. Here words become tools to expressing things impossible to explain.

Brandon's Corner

Ancient by: Brandon

-young is young
old is old
time goes on
as tales are told
-but old is not ancient
it's just old,
but to be patient,
you'd be many times old
-young is fifty-four
old is seven score
but ancient is worn
long before you are born
when the Earth of old
was yet in stories to be told.

The Eternal Cycle by: Brandon

It's a cycle that never ends
That cannot break or mend.
Good versus evil,
Darkness versus light.

It is the Solstice and the Equinox
the hot summer and the cold winter,
Forever fighting a pointless war
that never began
and shall never end.

While we, the people of Earth, struggle,
our religions seem ignorant.
Our gods do battle,
while we do as well.

They chose their generals, just as they
chose their pawns.
A hero is born to silence new evil.
The sun rises to end the night.
Yet the night comes back, to vanquish the night.
But light always returns stronger than before,
to conquer the other.
It's an eternal cycle.

Why by: Brandon

-Why,
o why
is the sky so high?

-it just is
it always was
just because

-you cant understand
the thought at hand
why is it so?
because i said so!

Eternity by: Brandon

-It seems so long,
But don't fret, be strong
everything ends
whenst it can't ever mend
-Thirty seconds
seems thirty hours,
as you quietly wait
for the time you hate.
Eternity goes on forever,
, never ending, unlike time, which will end.
