The Moment by: Kelsi
I take a look
Into your eyes,
The flames that make
You so alive.
You're moving closer
I can't breathe,
My head is light
My knees are weak.
Here it is:
Your hand on mine!
I'll know its feel
For all of time.
Our lips touch,
It's finally done,
The war of morals
Has been won.
Now we part
I see your face
I want another
Tempting taste.

Walls by: Kelsi
I stand alone.
I see walls I can't scale,
Bridges I can't cross,
Obstacles I can't clear.
They gang up on me,
The walls are closing in.
I have to break them down,
But I can't.
My life, so full of walls and bounderies,
Rules and regulations,
Fences and fortresses.
All of which I'm powerless against.
The walls and barriers rule my life.
They chain me down,
Like Prometheus, punished for a meaningless crime.
I'm like Andromeda the sacrifice,
Waiting for these walls to devour me,
Cage me in.
All I see, all around me,
Walls.

Ignorant by: Kelsi
You're ignorant,
You don't care.
You don't see my meaningful stare.
It's alright,
I'll do what I do,
Stand there and try to forget about you.
Your eyes are clear,
Yet you're so blind,
That you can't see what's on my mind.
It's 'cuz you don't try
That you don't see,
See what's deep inside of me.
At first, it's loving, then malignant,
And I'm so angry
'cuz you're nothing but
Ignorant.

Masks by: Kelsi
The facets of my being
Each unique, like a mask
My face, in its opposition of fair
Is just one mask I hide behind.
The other mask is happiness
My true nature is sorrow
Like the tragedy mask of theatre
It hides me from the world outside.
Why don't you come close to me
Let fall my plethora
Of concealing masks I wear for people
And see what I am made of now.
You know I love you dearly
Why do you turn away?
Is it because my masks are too ugly
For you to see through easily?

New Day by: Kelsi
The bleary sun comes over the hill,
Illuminating the sky,
Everything is peaceful still,
The pearly clouds floating by.
The birds are singing, animals waking,
The flowers nod their heavy heads,
Another day is in the making,
While humans still toss in their cozy beds.
The sound of sunlight pouring down,
A single drop of dew,
Ants emerging from their mounds,
Another morning's brew.

A rose by any other name
Would still smell just as sweet
Though hateful words can hurt and maim
Where heart and soul still meet.

Mirage by: Kelsi
I dream of places,
People and faces,
Your face I see the most.
My steps it traces,
Over the spaces,
Haunting me like a ghost.
The eyes are burning,
Smoldering, turning,
Away from my furious gaze.
Now end my yearning,
Wandering, burning,
Through the thickening haze.
My eyes are clouded,
Mysteries shrouded
In my wand'rings of late.
I am surrounded,
Forever hounded
By your indifferent face.

Give Me a Chance by: Kelsi
Look a little deeper, because you just might find,
Something that will change you, a new frame of mind.
You know me, yet you don't, I can't see that as fair,
You know now that I love you, the tension's on the air.
Why do you shoot higher for things you cannot gain?
When what you want is before you, oh so very plain.
I may not be the flashiest, the most beautiful of them all,
But I'll stay right beside you, 'til your time on earth grows small.
Although you do not see me, or take a second glance,
All I ask is that you give me a single tiny chance.

Vampiric Love by: Kelsi
I feel your lips upon the vein.
My breath is stilled, don't remember my name.
My heart is stopped, adrenaline rush.
The world is quiet to a gentle hush.
Your teeth break through, you take me in.
My death, my life, with all its sin.
I'm gone, you've worked the evil trick.
You don't care though, your lips you lick.
I hope I've filled some of the lust
You'll have until you turn to dust.

Roses by: Kelsi
Red roses growing on my fence
Pretty as the dawn
Beautiful, yet lethal,
With their unforgiving thorns.
I pick one
Hold it up and take in its heavy scent
The thorns catch my finger,
They make it bleed.
Look at the stark resemblance in color
Between the blood and the rose
I can't help but wonder why they look
So alike, these two things.
Suddenly I squeeze the rose,
Purging it of its flowery juices
It looks like blood.
It was then that I realized
Roses bleed too.
It mingles with my blood,v Flowing down in a crimson stream.
We bleed together, the rose and I.

If... by: Kelsi
If I could live in a perfect world
Where people are happy and free
I'd want nothing more than to love and be loved
And that'd be just fine by me.
If I could live in a euphoric world
Where man could be young and carefree
I'd want nothing more than to love and be loved
And things would be fine by me.
If I could live in a beautiful world
Where everything's meant to be seen
I'd want nothing more than to love and be loved
And things would be fine by me.
But since I live in a miguided world
Where things are not what they seem
I want nothing more than to love and be loved
Yet nothing is fine by me.

Lost by: Kelsi
Look into her wistful face,
Why do her eyes shine so?
Is it because she locks tears up,
And never lets them flow?
See how she walks so fearlessly,
But if you look inside,
You'll see that in her brave facade,
She has a place to hide.
Her soul is far too complicated,
For you to relate,
Full of fear, a constant longing,
Wanting, hurt, and hate.
She doesn't want to open up,
She is far too afraid
To let you into her glass heart,
A realm of night and shade.
She stays imprisoned in herself,
Why don't you set her free?
Oh, that's right, I quite forgot,
You are as lost as she.

Shadow by: Kelsi
I am the shadow that lives in hers,
I am the shadow that follows her,
I am the shadow that stays unseen,
I am the shadow, always unclean,
I am the shadow, hiding on all days,
I am the shadow, you can't see my face,
Only hers, the one that is better.
My life is a shadow, one of hers,
I can't be known, I can't be shown,
The one that nobody sees.
She's such an imposing figure,
How can you not notice her?
Sometimes I wish I was the one,
The caster of the shadow.
Then she'd see was it's like,
Living in hers.
But that'll never happen.
I am the shadow.

My Island by: Kelsi
My island is deserted
Disconnected from the world
Where I feel free to do as I please
And be my own true girl.
My island is full of music
Floating on the air
From "Fur Elise" to Disturbed's "Believe"
I hear it everywhere.
My island is a little cold
Somewhat like my heart
It's you it needs but you made it bleed
Right from the very start.
My island is a blink away
Not your average place
I close my eyes and then I fly
To its warm embrace.

Scar of my Soul by: Kelsi
Honor my ashes
And cover my grave
Reopen the wounds
That have started to fade
Hurting is heaven
While relief is my Hell
I'm screaming my lungs out
But no one can tell
It's never enough
To be who I am
So I put on my mask
And hide all I am
It's hard to believe
That my tears are my solace
I'm feeling so trapped
In the middle of all this
Now is the last time
That I bare my soul
It gives me such pleasure
But more PAIN than you know.
Little Black Box by: Kelsi
Alone again in my little black box
Though it's not like it matters
I don't think I care anymore
My life has gone to tatters.
Alone again in my little black box
What does all this stuff mean?
I look around, I try to see
But things just aren't what they seem.
Alone again in my little black box
Don't know what I should do
It's hard to tell just what I'm feeling
Namely, what I feel for you.
Alone again in my little black box
The walls are closing in
I'm tired of feeling asphixiated
But I'm drowning once again.
Sister Moon by: Kelsi
Sister Moon, oh, Sister Moon,
Your face shines like a silver spoon.
You're gone by day, but watch by night,
You coat the world with your sparkling light.
Like a raindrop in the sky,
A shimmering pearl that's caught my eye.
My Mistress Moon, matchlessly fair,
With rays of light caught in her hair.
Eyes grey as the stormy seas
Bring the nations to their knees.
Essence of radiance, glowing bright,
You reign over our sultry nights.
Mother Moon, who sees us all,
And mothers creatures, great and small.
